On September 5, 2016 I tried to end my life and survived. Let me share with you how things got better.
I believe that Mental Health IS Health. With that belief comes the same respect and belief I put in Physical Health. While I have my lived experiences to share, it would be beyond irresponsible to advise and suggest anything Medical or Treatment related. Thats how I live out my belief that Mental Health is Real and it is Health. My actions will always speak louder than my words.
Many of us who live with Mental Health Conditions or Mental Illness have learned the hard way that Stigma does not stop when you are dealing with General Doctors, ER Doctors, Nurses, EMT's and Hospital Staff. In fact the Stigma can often prevents us from getting care for our Physical Health

In every single way. Yes.
This year has been a year of transformation, transparency and finding truth within me. This video talks about all the things I've learned in just ONE YEAR of what happens when I started choosing to actually live with Bipolar.
It's made the term Mental Health Warrior, take on a different completely meaning.
One Year: The Things I've Learned
Self-Care is called Self Care for a reason.
It is unique for each of us.
If it didn't need to be unique, it would be called Us-Care right?
That doesn't mean we can't share our ways as we find what works for each of us in the current moment.
How I Tame My Bipolar Beast is how I've found (through the years) what works best for me when Taming My Bipolar Beast. At the moment, because I accept as we grow and change, so does our Self Care and Medication.
