i-Limit

Often times we feel limited based on events in our life, and often times it can be limitations set on us by other people that we end up accepting in our lives.

I don't think we have to.

I never intended to Survive Suicide

Am I grateful I did?

In every single way. Yes.
This year has been a year of transformation, transparency and finding truth within me. This video talks about all the things I've learned in just ONE YEAR of what happens when I started choosing to actually live with Bipolar.
It's made the term Mental Health Warrior, take on a different completely meaning.

One Year: The Things I've Learned

Get To Know Your Bipolar

When we speak about Mental Health Awareness we often forget that is not just about talking about how our Mental Illness makes us feel (although EXTREMELY important)

However, it can often mean we forget or don't talk about being aware of our actual Mental HEALTH.

By getting to know my Bipolar Disorder I am not only taking my Self Care to the MAX, but I am also helping my support system around me to not just understand Bipolar Disorder but to also understand the characteristics and traits of MY Bipolar Disorder.

We are all different, meaning our illness' can also be. For us to understand that helps others understand that as well.

Is it a lot of work? Yes.

Is it fun? No

Will it help us live with our Mental Illness and strengthen us? You bet your booty!

Here is how I did it, every step.

The Circle of Strife

I've come to see that I will  typically enter the Circle of Strife when I head into a Bipolar Episode.
The thing is, I don't get deeper in till after I've come to a place of stability.

WHAT? You heard me...
I call it the Uncomfortable Comfortable place because it becomes way too easy to live there and get caught up with all the others that have become lost there. The longer we allow ourselves to be there, the harder it is to find our way out.
The thing is, we look to others for ways to get out and directions from others

(No internet for google maps in the Circle of Strife)

However what we don't always remember is that our journeys (our answers) still need to be ours. Others can help and boost us and contribute to our ways, but we still have our own unique journey to answer to.

Are we ready to ask ourselves the questions that can let us find the Circle of Life and be prepared for the next time we enter the Circle of Strife?
The questions aren't always easy to ask others, but we will eventually. The question is, are we ready to ask ourselves and find our own answers? Our own strength?

Please feel FREE to leave your own viewpoints of opinions on this. Positive or negative, it can help us see different things.

How I Tame My Bipolar Beast

Self-Care is called Self Care for a reason.
It is unique for each of us.
If it didn't need to be unique, it would be called Us-Care right?
That doesn't mean we can't share our ways as we find what works for each of us in the current moment.
How I Tame My Bipolar Beast is how I've found (through the years) what works best for me when Taming My Bipolar Beast. At the moment, because I accept as we grow and change, so does our Self Care and Medication.
What works best for you?

I Am Not A Textbook Definition

Can a Textbook Definition of a part of you suddenly become who you are in the eyes of others?
Sometimes, yes.
When they do, or when we even do...

Then the Stigma of Mental Illness begins or continues its deathly formation.

Can you state today"

I AM NOT A TEXTBOOK DEFINTION
